About the role

The Acute Care Hospital Unit Clerk Float position at Gifford Medical Center is a dynamic role directed by the House Nurse Supervisor/Nursing leadership. The position involves floating throughout various acute care departments including Emergency Department (ED), Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), Behavioral Health (BC), and Surgical Services. Duties may include performing ED tech/LNA care, coordinating unit activities, providing secretarial support, and handling registration functions.

Responsibilities

• Floating throughout acute care departments
• Performing ED tech/LNA care
• Cooking unit coordination/secretarial support
• Handling registration functions as needed
• Serving the needs of multiple patients and care teams
• Displaying self-direction, flexibility, and a positive attitude
• Managing time effectively, multitasking, and communicating professionally

Qualifications
