Unit Clerk C.N.A. FT McAllen

Position Summary

Provides safe, competent patient‑centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Provides care under the direction of the registered nurse.
• Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department.
• Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience in an acute care setting.
• High School diploma, GED or higher education preferred.
• Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Must possess one of the following: CNA certificate and/or a certificate of completion of a CNA program; PCT certificate; Medical Assistant certificate and/or a certificate of a MA program.
• Current enrollment in an LVN, ADN, or BSN accredited school of nursing with successful completion of first semester at a minimum.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintain current thereafter.
• Must be 18 years of age or older by the date of hire.
