About the role
Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, a 258-bed skilled nursing facility located in the scenic Hudson Valley, is seeking a Unit Clerk for our sub-acute rehab unit with a positive attitude and a commitment to caring to join our team of healthcare professionals.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate clerical management functions for one or more resident/patient care units.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to maintain a unit that is hygienically safe and functional.
- Maintain close contact with Admissions, Discharge Planner, and RN Unit Manager/LPN Charge nurse and help coordinate the execution of admissions, transfers, discharges, and other services.
- Ensure that the medical record is complete, culled, and maintained on the unit in accordance with established medical records policies and procedures.
- Check charts, coordinate and prepare paperwork of residents/patients scheduled for procedures out of the facility, appointments in and out of the facility.
- Greet, direct, and give nonprofessional factual information to residents/patients, visitors, and personnel from other departments.
