Unit Assistant
About the role
Ensure a seamless workflow for the unit by managing administrative tasks, communication, and patient records.
Managing patient and visitor communication, handling telephone calls, mail, and other general clerical duties.
Accurately scheduling patient appointments and procedures, and communicating about patient care with physicians and nursing staff.
Assembling and maintaining patient charts, providing administrative and technical assistance with clinical processes like order entry, patient transfers, and discharges.
Coordinating meetings, maintaining meeting minutes, and managing staff-related administrative tasks like timekeeping and scheduling changes.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Preferences
- Previous CNA, PCT, or hospital experience.
