Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred within 3 years of hire.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current Maryland RN license.
  • Completed "Healthcare Provider" CPR course, bi-annually.

Experience

  • Two years of registered nurse experience in the specific specialty area required.

  • Proficient in developing nursing plan of care, implementing effective nursing care, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective use of computer programs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, including physical assessment and interviewing techniques.
  • Formulates nursing diagnoses and updates a written nursing plan of care based on scientific and psychosocial principles.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments accurately and appropriately.
  • Delegates tasks to ancillary personnel and monitors their performance.
  • Coordinates patient activities across different departments and ensures continuity of care.
  • Communicates patient status and care plans to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provides education to patients and families about their health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Manages daily patient assignments by prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities.
  • Works collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Pay Range

  • $32.18 - $49.46 per hour.
