Responsibilities

• Assist with set‑up: mount printing plates, blankets, or cylinders and adjust press tolerances.
• Manage materials: load sheets into the press, obtain, mix, or fill ink fountains.
• Monitor quality: pull proofs, check ink coverage, alignment, and registration; inspect ongoing print runs for defects.
• Perform maintenance: clean ink fountains, plates, and cylinders after jobs; help lubricate or make minor repairs to machinery.
• Learn operations: study workstation controls, safety rules, and troubleshooting steps to advance toward a full press operator role.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude: basic skill with hand tools and strong comfort around heavy industrial machinery.
• Physical stamina: ability to stand for long shifts, bend, and lift heavy stock or equipment parts.
• Attention to detail: good color perception and focus to spot alignment or ink density errors early.

Pay

The U.S. pay range for this position is $30.00 – $33.76 USD hourly, with final compensation based on location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
