About the role

This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 5+ years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching
• Lifting 50 pounds or more
• Working indoors/outdoors as required by the job

Pay

$32.80–$34.80 per hour, depending on the agreed rate under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement for this location.

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date.
