About the role

As a Maintenance Technician, your day-to-day will involve addressing resident service requests, performing diverse hands-on maintenance tasks, and ensuring market-ready apartments. You will also perform preventative maintenance, maintain grounds and common areas, and report any concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly address resident service requests
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and more
  • Prepare market-ready apartments and maintain community grounds
  • Conduct regular community inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and perform interior repairs and painting
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable working in a Union environment
  • Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart)
  • Computer literacy and effective communication skills; must be able to communicate orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes
  • Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends, and respond to emergencies after hours when assigned on-call responsibilities
  • Ability to perform physical activities requiring use of hands, arms, legs, and whole body, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Service team members must use their own smartphone with updated software, password protection, and compliance with in-house security systems

Qualifications

  • Trade school certification/diploma (preferred)
  • EPA Section 608 Type I, Type II, or Universal certification (preferred)

Schedule

Wednesday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Off: Monday & Tuesday

Pay

$33.6508 per hour. Team members are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives and are subject to a 90-day introductory period.
