About the role
As a CBRE Union Lead Mechanic, you will oversee and support the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes in an assigned facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams on complex maintenance and repair efforts.
- Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including HVAC units, boilers, cooling towers, and other equipment.
- Review and assign work orders to team members, and directly complete ongoing preventive and repair tasks as needed.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations.
- Complete hazard assessments and maintain compliance with state, county, or city ordinances, codes, or laws.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations and may convince others to reach an agreement.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
