Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on vehicles according to manufacturer specification using GM factory scan tools (GDS2)
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic system issues.
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and union guidelines.
- Stay up to date with manufacturer technical training and certifications and ASE certifications.
- Mentor apprentice technicians as needed to support skill development within the team.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman certification in automotive technology (ASE or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, diesels, ev's, electrical, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
