It involves designing and implementing robust sensory and consumer research, defining claims and knowledge-based selling narratives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust sensory and consumer research to uncover actionable insights.
- Create and execute consumer technical test plans, including sensory and consumer product and packaging testing.
- Analyze operator and sensory data to draw out big consumer insights and drive superior product designs.
- Implement CTI operator/functionality/performance best practices and processes.
- Lead and co-author strategic KBS that supports the Superiority roadmap.
- Support claims strategy through conducting claims workshops and testing, crafting compelling KBS narratives.
What You Need To Succeed
- Keep the operator at the core of every initiative, ensuring their needs guide the product development process.
- Show curiosity and enthusiasm for food and emerging trends.
- Partner closely with brand marketing, CMI, and R&D teams to define outstanding claims and KBS.
- Manage or support execution of relevant operator, sensory, or claims testing; interpret results, identify key insights, and efficiently cascade findings.
- Create exciting technical communications, visuals, and demos that bring technologies and innovations to life.
- Co-create KBS, demos for sales teams, and other activation tools.
- Understand the needs and attitudes of operators we serve, connecting them with relevance and brand tone of voice in all aspects of claims and communications.
- Write research study briefs and execute studies; work closely with internal functions and external vendors to ensure excellence in execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum BS or MS degree in psychology, nutrition, sensory science, food science, physical science, marketing/market research, or related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer/chef/operators/dining insights, sensory science, and consumer technical insight.
- Experience in category R&D functions and knowledge of the category or other food-based businesses.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to convey consumer/operator/sensory insights clearly and engagingly.
- Strong planning, organizational, and attention to detail in execution of CTI research and roadmaps.
- Ability to apply psychological principles to define operator insight research activities.
- Statistical knowledge and ability to interpret data.
- Creative thinking to support the development of new ideas and showcase product superiority.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $71,400 to $107,200. Unilever considers a variety of factors in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, and training.
