Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Technician
for section headings (About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate, navigation, legal, EEO, etc. Preserve all substantive info. We need to decide which sections have content. From posting: - About the role: The first paragraph "This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking a Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Technician to support a variety of munitions response actions and operational range clearance activities. This position plays a critical role in field operations involving the detection, identification, recovery, and disposal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and other munitions and explosives of concern (MEC). The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and experience supporting military munitions response and range clearance projects. Locations include: ..." That's about the role. - Responsibilities: The bullet list under "Your Impact" includes many duties. Those are responsibilities. - Requirements: The "Who You Are" includes "Required Qualifications" list. That's requirements. - Qualifications: There's also "Preferred Qualifications". Could be separate section "Qualifications" maybe combine required and preferred? But we have separate headings: Requirements and Qualifications. Usually Requirements = required qualifications; Qualifications = preferred? The instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have both Requirements and Qualifications sections. We'll put required qualifications under Requirements, preferred under Qualifications. - Skills: Not explicitly listed but could infer from required qualifications: communication, teamwork, problem-solving, etc. Could create Skills section with those. But we should only include if posting has real specific content. The posting includes "Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills." That's a skill. Also ability to travel, etc. Could put under Skills. - Benefits: There's a Benefits paragraph. - Pay: There's compensation range: "Expected Salary (all locations): $33.32 - $45.82". Also description about range. So we can create Pay section. - Schedule: Not mentioned. No schedule info. So we should not create Schedule section. - Also we have locations list; could be part of About the role or maybe separate? Not a heading; we can embed in About the role paragraph. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for UXO Technician. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, legal, etc. Remove the "About WSP" section? That's company description; maybe not required but could be considered boilerplate? The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The "About WSP" is not exactly boilerplate but could be considered company overview; but it's not part of the job description per se. Might be okay to keep? The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. The "About WSP" is substantive about the company. However typical job postings include that; but we might keep it under a section? There's no heading for About the company. Not in allowed headings. Could we put it under About the role? Might be redundant. Better to omit? The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; but also says "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." The About WSP is not directly about the role; but it's still substantive. However the allowed headings list does not include "About the company". Could we incorporate it into About the role? Might be okay to add a paragraph after the role description. But we must not invent headings. So we can just include it as a
after the About the role heading, without a heading. That's allowed. Similarly, the "Are you ready to get started?" and EEO statement etc are boilerplate; remove. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's structure:

But note we already have Benefits section later; we might duplicate benefits info. The About WSP paragraph includes benefits again; we could keep it but might be duplicate. However we need to preserve all substantive info; duplication is okay? The instruction says remove duplicated lines. So we should avoid duplicating the same benefit description. The Benefits section later will list benefits; we can omit the benefits description from About WSP to avoid duplication. But we still need to keep the rest of About WSP (company description). Let's extract company description without benefits. From About WSP paragraph: "WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms. Dedicated to serving local communities, we are engineers, planners, technical experts, strategic advisors and construction management professionals. WSP USA designs lasting solutions in the buildings, transportation, energy, water and environment markets. With more than 15,000 employees in over 300 offices across the U.S., we partner with our clients to help communities prosper. www.wsp.com WSP provides a flexible and agile workplace model while meeting client needs. Employees are also afforded a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. At WSP, we want to give our employees the challenges they seek to grow their careers and knowledge base. Your daily contributions to your team will be essential in meeting client objectives, goals and challenges." We can split: keep company description up to "www.wsp.com WSP provides a flexible and agile workplace model while meeting client needs." Then maybe skip benefits sentence. Then keep "At WSP, we want to give our employees the challenges they seek to grow their careers and knowledge base. Your daily contributions to your team will be essential in meeting client objectives, goals and challenges." Thus we avoid duplication. Now Responsibilities: list from Your Impact. We'll make- each duty.
Responsibilities list:
- Perform reconnaissance, identification, and classification of unexploded ordnance (UXO), including U.S. and foreign missiles, bombs, projectiles, grenades, rockets, land mines, pyrotechnics, military explosives, demolition materials, and associated fuzing systems.
- Conduct subsurface UXO investigations utilizing magnetometers and other approved detection equipment.
- Perform excavation and recovery of buried UXO using manual and mechanical methods.
- Locate and identify surface UXO through visual inspection and field reconnaissance activities.
- Establish and maintain safe holding areas for recovered UXO.
- Perform storage, accountability, and handling of UXO and demolition materials in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Prepare UXO disposal sites and support demolition operations.
- Assemble and prepare non-electric, electric, and detonating cord firing systems for UXO disposal activities.
- Conduct disposal of UXO and explosive materials through approved burn or detonation methods.
- Adhere to all site-specific health and safety requirements, explosive safety standards, and project procedures.
- Support technical documentation, field reporting, and operational data collection efforts.
Now Requirements (required qualifications):
List:
- Meet the qualifications and perform the functions of a UXO Technician II (UXO-TII) as defined in DoD Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18.
- Minimum 3 years of EOD/UXO experience, including significant experience supporting munitions response actions and/or range clearance activities.
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher training.
- Demonstrated experience recognizing munitions and explosives of concern (MEC), particularly unexploded ordnance (UXO).
- Knowledge of explosive safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work safely in remote field environments and under varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel and support field assignments as required.
- Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
Now Qualifications (preferred qualifications):
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal UXO remediation projects.
- Familiarity with magnetometer operations and geophysical investigation methods.
- Experience supporting demolition and disposal operations.
- Previous experience working within an Explosive Safety Program.
- Current explosives safety and UXO-related certifications beyond minimum requirements.
Now Skills: Could extract from required qualifications: strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving skills; ability to travel; ability to work safely in remote field environments; knowledge of explosive safety procedures; etc. But we already have those in Requirements. Might be redundant. Better to not create Skills section if content overlaps heavily. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could omit Skills section and keep those skills under Requirements. However the heading list includes Skills as optional; we can omit if not needed.
Now Benefits: paragraph:
"WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. These benefits include coverage related to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life; retirement savings; paid sick leave; paid vacation (or other personal time); paid parental leave; and paid time off for purposes of bereavement, voting, and/or attendance at naturalization proceedings."
We'll put that in
- maybe? It's a list of benefits; we can make list.
Now Pay: paragraph:
"Expected Salary (all locations): $33.32 - $45.82 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law."
We'll put that as
. Now we must not include any boilerplate like EEO, legal, etc. Remove the "Are you ready to get started?" and EEO statement, notice to third party agencies, etc. Now output HTML fragment. Let's craft. We'll start with
About the role
then paragraphs. ThenResponsibilities
with- .
Then

- maybe? It's a list of benefits; we can make list.
Now Pay: paragraph:
