As an Underwriting Intern, you'll have a chance to build your business acumen by supporting the underwriting department's growth and profitability goals, making meaningful contributions to the business. Underwriting involves assessing risks and determining the terms of insurance policies, making it a critical function in the financial industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop analytical skills and gain insights into risk management, and to learn & experience different areas of the insurance industry including but not limited to underwriting, risk management, internal audit, & claims.

Please note, this is a hybrid position, therefore, applicants must be within commuting distance of our Hamilton, NJ location.

Responsibilities

• Engage in underwriting functions pertaining to the lifecycle of a policy; including new business quoting, issuing, renewal processing and endorsements.
• Successfully utilize various resource materials and programs to complete projects.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student to qualify (Class of 2028 preferred).
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred but not required.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements.
• High School Diploma required.
• Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.

Pay

USD $22.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
