Position Overview
The Underwriting Specialist, Commercial Surety, supports underwriting and marketing strategy within an assigned region, contributing to production goals, disciplined underwriting, and distribution strategy.
Responsibilities
- Contribute meaningfully to production and disciplined regional underwriting
- Develop and execute segment strategies to meet budgeted results
- Accurately document underwriting information and adhere to documentation standards
- Leverage productive distribution partner relationships
- Support the development of Associate Underwriters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience underwriting, analyzing, and servicing complex commercial surety accounts
- Proven track record of establishing and developing distribution partner relationships
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Embraces and promotes a culture of collaboration and effective management of change
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, solid business judgment, and a passion for providing outstanding solutions to business partners

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $150,000 - $170,000.
