About the role
The Beazley Underwriting Graduate Program (P28) is a 12-month development program designed to launch careers in underwriting. Whether you are familiar with the insurance industry or exploring it for the first time, P28 provides structured training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning to help you build the technical and professional skills needed for a successful underwriting career.
Participants gain exposure to multiple specialty insurance products, learn from experienced underwriters and business leaders, and develop a strong foundation in insurance and risk management. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will transition into a permanent underwriting role within the business.
Responsibilities
- Receive insurance industry training from internal and external experts through a structured classroom experience
- Intensive training with Beazley product lines including Crime, Executive Risk, Environmental, Property, and Cyber
- Learn directly from experienced underwriters and industry professionals
- Build relationships with program alumni, peers, brokers, and senior leaders from across the organization
- Participate in presentations, case studies, and project-based learning opportunities
- Engage with Beazley's employee resource groups (Beazley SHE, Race, Proud, Families, Wellbeing, Neurodiversity)
- Attend social events and outings with Beazley leadership, colleagues, and brokers
Requirements
- Strong preference for bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Math, or related discipline
- Relevant internship, work, leadership, or extracurricular experience is a plus
- Fluency in English and additional languages, where required by the business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant business systems
- Strong numerical, analytical, and data interpretation skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize workload, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Confidence presenting information to individuals and small groups

Location
The program is hosted in the Atlanta, GA office. Non-local candidates will be supported in relocation if hired. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be matched to a product line and permanent office based on business need, individual skillsets, and interests. Location flexibility is required.
