Underwriting Associate

We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections if posting has real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Content: - Mission statement: "Pie's mission is to empower small businesses..." etc. Could be "About the role" or maybe "About the company". The instruction: use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we need to decide appropriate headings based on content. We have description of role: responsibilities, tasks, etc. Also "The Right Stuff" which includes qualifications, requirements, skills. We have "Base Compensation Range $50,000—$60,000 USD" and "Compensation & Benefits" bullet list. We have location info: remote. We have AI usage note, but that's boilerplate? Might be considered part of process but maybe not needed. The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The AI usage note might be considered part of process but not boilerplate? It's about hiring process; maybe we can keep? It's not EEO but it's about AI usage. Might be considered part of process but not required. Safer to keep? The instruction says remove EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. AI usage is not exactly that. Could keep as a short paragraph under maybe "About the role" or separate? But we need to avoid filler. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to include mission, responsibilities, qualifications, compensation, benefits, location, maybe note about AI usage. We must not repeat job title as heading. The job title is Underwriting Associate. Not to repeat. We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Thus produce something like:

About the role

Responsibilities

  • This role plays a part in building the Underwriting team’s robust portfolio by analyzing risk to confirm it is within our underwriting appetite and the scope of authority.
  • Daily transactional work within specified authority level: Handling tasks & assignments within scope for a UA, including quote revisions, bind reviews, and submission updates.
  • Make requested changes to submissions & quotes based on partner inquiries & Level of Authority required for the task.
  • Processing bind reviews competently and completely, addressing red flags or moving for UW review before releasing payment request.
  • Review and process post-issuance requests/endorsements from partners and internal teams.
  • Work across internal teams to support quote revisions, ad hoc projects and other needs of the business to work collaboratively across Underwriting and UA teams, including team leads, to support quote revisions, ad hoc projects, and other operational needs.
  • Send out requests for additional information, quotes, and assist in communication between Underwriters and Agency Partners.
  • Maintain industry knowledge on WC and Commercial Auto lines of business. Develop and maintain full knowledge of all forms, coverages, ratings, and manuals for these lines.

Qualifications

  • A high school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience with commercial lines preferred, workers’ compensation or other P&C lines preferred, or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to produce quality work while managing a high-volume workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to context switch when working in a multi-state book of business.
  • Demonstrated ability to send accurate and timely information to internal teams and external partners which directly enhances and elevates the customer experience.
  • Experience verifying businesses using a variety of web-based research tools, like OSHA and SAFER, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of web-based and cloud platforms is required. Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite and other systems highly preferred.
  • Developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely deliver information to internal and external audiences.
  • Experience communicating in internal chat platforms, like Slack or Teams, preferred.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in work processes and systems.
  • Actively acquiring and beginning to apply knowledge to grow in curiosity, tenacity, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Desire to improve how insurance operates in a technology driven environment.
Maybe we separate Skills? But we already have qualifications covering skills. Could also have a Skills section for specific technical skills: Salesforce, Excel, Google Suite, etc. But we can keep within Qualifications. Compensation and Benefits: we have Base Compensation Range and a list of benefits. We need to include Pay section if posting actually states them. Yes, Base Compensation Range $50,000—$60,000 USD. So we can have

Pay

with

Base Compensation Range $50,000—$60,000 USD

. Benefits: we have "Competitive cash compensationComprehensive health plansGenerous PTOFuture focused 401k matchGenerous parental and caregiver leave". Actually the text: "Compensation & Benefits Competitive cash compensationComprehensive health plansGenerous PTOFuture focused 401k matchGenerous parental and caregiver leave". It seems missing spaces but we can parse: Competitive cash compensation, Comprehensive health plans, Generous PTO, Future focused 401k match, Generous parental and caregiver leave. Thus

Benefits

with
  • ... each. Location: "Unless otherwise specified, this role is remote. Remote team members must live and work in the United States (territories excluded) and have access to reliable, high-speed internet." Could be a short paragraph under maybe "Location". But location is not one of the prescribed headings list; but we could include as a

without heading? The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but suggests those examples. We could include a heading like "Location" but not in list; maybe better to just include as a

after Benefits without heading, or include under a generic "Details". Safer to include as a

without heading. Also we have AI usage note: "The use of AI in Application Review: ..." Might be considered part of process but not boilerplate. Could include as a short paragraph under maybe "About the role" or separate. I'd include as a

after location. We must not include EEO boilerplate etc. The posting includes "Additional Information Pie Insurance is an equal opportunity employer..." etc. That's EEO boilerplate, must remove. Also "Please click here, here and here for more information." etc. Remove. Also "Pie Insurance is committed to protecting your personal data." etc. Remove. Also "Safety First: ..." Remove. Also "Pie Named to 2025 America's Best Startup Employers Pie Insurance 2025 State of Workplace Safety Report #BI-REMOTE" maybe remove as it's not substantive? It's maybe a accolade but could be considered substantive? It's about recognition. Might be okay to keep but it's like a boast. The instruction: remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. This is not exactly those. It's a accolade. Could keep as a short paragraph under About the role? But it's not directly about role. Might be considered fluff. Safer to omit. Thus final HTML:
