Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct financial and business analysis of client-companies and meet with C-suite executives to discuss operating and future performance
• Negotiate coverage and layer participation for large Directors and Officers Liability insurance programs on publicly-traded companies including IPOs, SPACs, and M&A transactions
• Aid in managing a renewal book of business while driving new business production growth
• Maintain relationships with broker partners while working to expand production sources regionally
• Work with Northwestern Region leads on regional budgeting and business development
• Engage with the Claims, and Actuarial, Legal, and Marketing departments on an as-needed basis
• Participate in internal projects to improve business processes regionally and countrywide

Job Requirements

• 4-year college degree required
• 3-7 years underwriting experience
• Solid Writing and Communication Skills
• Basic understanding of financial analysis and accounting
• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi task
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
• Willingness to travel
• Must be able to think originally, be willing to challenge ideas and be receptive to having their own ideas challenged

Pay

The salary range for this role is between: Salary range: $70,000 - 100,000 Compensation: The annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
