About the role
Senior Title Underwriter (Hybrid – Texas Markets)
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior underwriting resource for agents, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Analyze and underwrite complex residential and commercial title transactions
- Provide clear, practical guidance on title issues, curative matters, and risk mitigation
- Exercise sound judgment to approve, modify, or decline risks within authority limits
- Partner with escrow, sales, and operations teams to keep transactions moving efficiently
- Interpret and apply underwriting guidelines while contributing to their evolution
- Support high-value and time-sensitive deals with responsiveness and precision
- Act as a problem-solver on challenging files—bringing creative, business-minded solutions
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of title underwriting experience with increasing complexity
- Strong working knowledge of real estate law, title insurance, and settlement practices
- Proven ability to handle complex or high-liability transactions confidently
- Comfort operating with autonomy and making risk-based decisions
- Strong communication skills—you can translate technical title issues into clear guidance
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without slowing down deals
Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple markets or high-volume agents
- Strong negotiation and problem-resolution skills on difficult title matters
- Ability to balance risk management with business impact
- A reputation as a “go-to” resource others rely on for tough files

- Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually
