Responsibilities
- Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documentation.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness and risk.
- Ensure loans meet company and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate underwriting decisions and conditions to Loan Officers and Processors.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve loan issues.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting.
