Job Summary
We are seeking a self-starter, highly motivated, and results-oriented underwriting professional to join the Executive Risks team and play a key role in executing SCOR Specialty Insurance's Financial Institutions single risk strategy. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the profitable growth and long-term success of a diverse portfolio of financial institution risks.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal business, assessing exposures and pricing adequacy, negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
- Collaborate closely with claims, actuarial, legal, and wordings teams to support product development, policy form enhancements, and overall portfolio performance.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with brokers, clients, and industry stakeholders, representing SCOR in the marketplace, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the continued growth and visibility of the Financial Institutions franchise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution; advanced degree or professional insurance designation (CPCU, RPLU, ARM, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience within the Financial Lines insurance market
- Demonstrated experience underwriting public and private financial institution risks
- Strong knowledge of Directors & Officers (D&O), Professional Liability/E&O, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, and related Executive Risks products
- Experience analyzing financial statements, assessing complex exposures, and developing risk-based underwriting and pricing decisions
- Working knowledge of policy wording development, coverage interpretation, and manuscript endorsements
- Established broker relationships and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute upon new business pipeline and manage strategic distribution partnerships
- Strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks and make timely underwriting decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present underwriting strategies and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment

Pay Range
The pay range for roles performed in NY is $130,410-$159,390 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role, and performance.
