The Underwriter CL - Associate (P&C) role is based in the United States and involves supporting the servicing of Property & Casualty commercial insurance policies. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling inbound calls and requests from insured clients and agents.
- Reviewing policy documents for accuracy, processing renewals, cancellations, billing inquiries, and policy updates in internal systems.
- Collaborating with underwriters and internal teams to ensure timely policy binding, renewals, and accurate account setup.
- Maintaining FNOL/FNOS and renewal-related tasks, ensuring proper documentation and workflow tracking.
- Maintaining ongoing follow-up on outstanding items, ensuring timely resolution and strong service standards.
- Providing clear communication and updates to clients regarding policy status, billing, and service requests.
- Serving as a trusted point of contact for inquiries related to commercial insurance policies.
Requirements include:
- 3-5 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, preferably in commercial lines servicing or underwriting support.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of insurance policy structures, renewals, billing processes, and client servicing workflows.
- Experience working in a call center or high-volume customer service environment is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical insurance details clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate follow-through.
- Proficiency with standard business and communication tools (email, browsers, Teams, etc.).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
