Underwriter
Overview
You’ll review individual property and casualty insurance applications and help decide whether to accept, change, or decline the risk. You’ll look at details like property value, location, use, and safety features. You’ll work closely with field teams to gather the facts you need and support your decisions.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Use clear facts to make fair underwriting decisions on standard and substandard risks.
- Talk with field partners often so you can get the details you need and explain your thinking with confidence.
- Help keep accounts moving by supporting service work when needed.
- Step in to help a Senior Underwriter with account management tasks.
About You
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
- Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation And Benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
