About the Role
An established engineering consulting firm in the power delivery industry is seeking an Underground Transmission Designer to support the design and execution of high-voltage underground transmission and distribution projects. This individual will work alongside engineering teams to develop design packages and technical drawings for critical energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings and deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software.
- Support the design of underground transmission and distribution projects under the guidance of engineering staff.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop accurate, high-quality design packages.
- Review and self-check work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain project schedules and deliver work in accordance with client and industry standards.
- Assist with technical problem-solving and development of practical design solutions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and support project documentation and communication efforts.
- Manage multiple assignments while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic project environment.
Requirements
- Associate's degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design platforms in the electric utility industry.
- Experience supporting underground high-voltage transmission and/or distribution projects.
- Knowledge of utility design standards and industry best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
- Completion of an AutoCAD drafting program.
- Experience with MicroStation or similar design software.
