About the role
SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. This remote opportunity in the U.S. involves technical and project management support for mining engineering studies and client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and project management support for engineering studies (scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility).
- Prepare technical deliverables, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Offer operational advice to clients and maintain regular communication.
- Perform due diligence and independent reporting projects.
- Actively engage in business development.
- Contribute to the development and advancement of SRK’s engineering practices.
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams on national and international projects; international travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ post-graduate industry experience in underground mining, mine planning, and preferably with a diverse range of commodities.
- Proficiency with computerized mine planning and optimization tools (e.g., Deswik, Datamine, MineSight, Vulcan).
- Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Ability and desire to collaborate with other technical specialists.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, flexible workplace with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
