About the role
The Facilities & Infrastructure Operations (F&IO) Division is responsible for operating and maintaining PNNL’s buildings, grounds, and utilities. The F&IO team includes plant engineering, fabrication, craft services, duplicating and mail services, facility program support, relocations, and receiving. F&IO is home to approximately 363 staff including more than 250 bargaining unit (union) staff.
Responsibilities
- Support day to day operations and activities required to ensure all facility systems remain operational and reliable.
- Conduct field/facility walk-downs.
- Affirm with management of facilities.
- Schedule and prioritize work.
- Maintain asset/equipment databases.
- Respond to emergent issues, assessments, and reports.
- Provide preventative maintenance support.
- Identify and order materials.
- Handle whatever else might arise in the day-to-day operations of the South Campus facilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a high school diploma / GED or higher.
- Candidates must be degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university.
- Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.50.
- Preferred qualifications include proficient use of standard office equipment, proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel), and proficient use of Maximo.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good communicator.
- Demonstrated ability to perform, independent and complex tasks.
