Unarmed Security Officer Graveyard Patrol

About the role

As a Unarmed Security Officer Graveyard Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with visitors and staff, respond to situations with sound judgment, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
