We are hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for a high-volume distribution and warehouse facility in Hazelton Mills, PA (commutable from Wilkes-Barre and surrounding areas). This secure, high-volume site demands the highest level of professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate has previous experience in both security and customer service fields.

Schedule

• Shift: 3rd Shift
• Work Days: Saturday through Wednesday
• Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Days Off: Thursday, Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Starting Pay: $17.50 / hour

Responsibilities

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols; detect suspicious behavior; prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity.
• Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests; check identification; log visitor vehicles; announce visitors; control access for all persons to the property.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with courtesy and urgency; provide customer service; access control; monitor CCTV camera systems; announce visitors; distribute packages.
• Device Check: Scan tags on approved employee devices; read IMEI on phones to ensure it matches the sticker or paperwork for the approved device.
• North Dock: Monitor trash dump for theft attempts; open and close dock doors; track outbound trucks; count pallets for inbound trucks; monitor open dock doors during loading; monitor special projects during peak season.
• South Dock: Count pallets for inbound trucks; monitor special projects during peak season; send and receive emails; type truck information; monitor open dock doors; open and close dock doors.
• Metal Detector / X-Ray: Check devices in and out (only approved devices with sticker or paperwork allowed); ensure visitors clear through X-ray; watch X-ray machine; ensure no prohibited items enter the building.
• Tracker: Keep track of all high-value loads via computer software.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school degree or equivalent
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum one year of customer service experience
• Minimum one year of security experience
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• Physical ability: occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods
• Able to commit to the posted schedule: Sat–Wed, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
