About the role
Unarmed Security Officers perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post.
Responsibilities
- Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on-premises.
- Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
- Maintaining credentials according to contract requirements.
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
- Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
- Ensuring compliance with security protocols and procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma, a General Education Degree (GED), or Associates Degree.
- Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer.
- A current and valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card/permit.
- Knowledgeable of the security industry.
- A customer service-driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to present information to all levels of internal and external customers/clients.
Qualifications
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract.
