Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned property.
- Monitor and report on the overall status and condition of the property.
- Identify and address trespassing, suspicious activity, and unauthorized persons.
- Report maintenance issues and safety or liability concerns, such as trip hazards or broken infrastructure.
- Observe and report incidents of vandalism or property damage.
- Monitor tenant compliance with lease terms and property regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Accurately document all incidents, observations, and actions in daily activity reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid California driver’s license (for vehicle patrol positions).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Strong observational and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- May be exposed to outdoor conditions including inclement weather.
Work Environment
- Patrols may involve both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Interaction with tenants, members of the public, and emergency personnel is frequent.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
