Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches.
  • Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security of the premises.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action.
  • Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns.
  • Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
  • Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes.
  • Complete additional work tasks with guidance from the Field Support team.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is a plus.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills are desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed is required.
  • The ability to work flexible hours and the ability to work all shifts on any given day, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.
  • Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing.
  • Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.
  • General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.
