Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Placement Coordinator.

About the role
This position provides review of Refugee Arrivals Data System (RADS) referrals, ensuring that URM placing agencies respond to referrals in a timely manner. It involves coordination with placement provider agencies and county departments of human/social services that provide services to Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) Program youth to support sustainable placement. The role includes collaboration with community agencies serving refugee and immigrant populations to build cultural and social connections for URM Program youth and placing agencies, facilitating culturally competent services. Additional responsibilities include training facilitation and fostering partnership opportunities between refugee and youth service providers in the state.
Responsibilities
- Support URM placing agencies, coordinate placements of URM, and work with Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains (LFSRM) and other community partners to facilitate URM community referrals.
- Facilitate the distribution of resources to providers.
- Implement federal policy impacting Colorado’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)-eligible youth and ensure compliance with current policy and rule from the Office of Refugee Resettlement and the Children’s Bureau.
- Monitor and provide technical assistance to ensure Colorado’s ORR-eligible youth programs comply with federal and state regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
- A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years.
- Must be able to obtain Case Work Supervisor Certification within 6 months of employment.
- Must possess a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License or a non-restricted U.S. Driver's License for positions within 30 miles of the CO state border. Out-of-state license holders must obtain a Colorado license within 30 days of employment.
- Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application and maintain residency throughout employment.
- Occasional in-state or out-of-state travel may be required for meetings, site visits, or conferences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- Prior experience with the Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) Program.
- Relevant years of state service experience.

- Must pass a full background check, including CBI name check and fingerprint check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, reference checks, professional license verification (if applicable), drug screen, PREA (Division of Youth Services), Trails check (direct contact with children), and CAPS (direct contact with adults).

Schedule
This position is hybrid with 2 days in the office per week. Working arrangements are subject to change.
Pay
The salary range provided represents the minimum to midpoint of the full compensation range for this position.
