UN Roll Off Driver

Responsibilities

• Service customer accounts dispatched throughout the day.
• Collect and haul waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant.
• Remove and replace roll-off containers and compactors for customers.
• Complete work assignments safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Report unsafe situations or service-related issues immediately.
• Attend and participate in training programs and meetings.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Maintain and update driver log sheets.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Keep commercial vehicle clean and free of trash/debris.
• Follow route assignments and complete end of day documentation.
• Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid Class B CDL.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• No DUI’s or OVI’s within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Successfully completed pre-employment testing.
• Able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• Works under moderate supervision.
• Requires pushing and pulling up to 110 pounds.
• Frequent walking and standing up to 8 hours per day.
• Manual dexterity required to operate controls on truck.
• Requires physical ability to enter/climb and leave truck cab frequently.
• Requires regular sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing.
• Occasionally requires standing.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
• Requires specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

$23.40 - $29.25 per hour
