UMMG Staff Physician - Interventional Radiology

About the role

The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology seeks a Staff Physician to join their dynamic team. Located in South Florida, the department is one of the largest and highest volume IR departments in the country, serving over 21,000 patients annually.

Responsibilities

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures.
• Aid in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures.
• Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and post intervention.
• Supervise performance of technical personnel.
• Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic.
• Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging.
• Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested.
• Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice.
• Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional Radiology.
• Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging.

Qualifications

• Education: Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent).
• Certification and Licensing: Florida Medical License or equivalent American Board of Radiology Certification.
• Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in Vascular Interventional.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an on-call schedule as assigned by the Chairman.
