Job Summary
The overall goal for the Ultrasound Technologist is to provide optimum care to the patient, physician, and patient’s family in accordance with the standards of care at Fairview Park Hospital. Population served: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric. Provides quality Ultrasound/Sonography exams for interpretation by the Radiologist. Maintains and applies current Ultrasound/Sonography standards and clinical competency including age competency. Applies critical thinking skills in conjunction with facility policies and procedures to prioritize and problem solve. Quality patient care, quality control, patient documentation, record maintenance. Meets the personal and practical needs of patients and families. Continues self-development, provides leadership and actively participates in offered performance improvement activities. Educates others as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate, or Vocational School Graduate
