About the role

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality imaging services in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and small parts
• Ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Review and verify physician orders and patient history prior to exams
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure accurate diagnosis
• Maintain equipment and follow infection control procedures
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in EMR systems

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Required ARDMS RVT certification or ARRT Sonography; additional specialties certifications a plus (OB/GYN, Abdomen, etc.)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
