Ultrasound Technologist II

Responsibilities

• Counsels and prepares patients for examinations.
• Interviews patients to understand risk factors and medical history.
• Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters.
• Guides patients through examinations, explaining the process and addressing concerns.
• Collaborates with colleagues to plan workday and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) years of clinical imaging experience, three (3) of which must be in ultrasound / sonography.
• Registered as an Ultrasound / Sonography technologist from ARDMS.
• Good understanding of human anatomy.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders.
• Experience with PACS.
• PREFERRED: Additional continuing education in sonography specializations.
