Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Absorb and apply knowledge of methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of instruments that detect, display, and store acoustic information.
• Maintain patient well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical issues promptly.
• Safeguard patient property and health information according to company policies and legal requirements.
• Respect company property, including handling on-site medications securely.
• Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting professional behavior towards patients and coworkers.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Exercise sound judgment and professionalism in all situations.
• Show effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills, and respect with patients, guests, and colleagues.
• Have a structured work approach, understanding and prioritizing complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Past SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible (preferred).
• BLS certification required.

Pay

$40.00 - $65.00 per hour
