Responsibilities
- Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
- Absorb and apply knowledge of methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of instruments that detect, display, and store acoustic information.
- Maintain patient well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical issues promptly.
- Safeguard patient property and health information according to company policies and legal requirements.
- Respect company property, including handling on-site medications securely.
- Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting professional behavior towards patients and coworkers.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Exercise sound judgment and professionalism in all situations.
- Show effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills, and respect with patients, guests, and colleagues.
- Have a structured work approach, understanding and prioritizing complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
- Past SPI exam.
- Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible (preferred).
- BLS certification required.
