Responsibilities
- Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
- Absorb and apply methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of ultrasound instruments.
- Maintain patient well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical issues promptly.
- Safeguard patient property and health information according to company policies and regulations.
- Manage on-site medications in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Show respect for company property, including patient financial information.
- Respond to the needs of others by maintaining professional behavior and demonstrating respect towards patients, guests, and colleagues.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
- Passed SPI exam.
- Hold current ARDMS certifications or be ARDMS Registry Eligible.
- Have BLS certification.
