Responsibilities

  • Perform various ultrasounds, including OBGYN and Vascular
  • Assist Radiologists with complicated ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Produce high-quality ultrasound images for Radiologist evaluation, maintaining accuracy
  • Conduct quality control functions related to ultrasound equipment
  • Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and education regarding the exam
  • Complete documentation and assist in compiling/maintaining statistical data
  • Apply professional and ethical judgment, critical thinking, and participate in continuing education

Requirements

  • Completed one-to-two-year Sonography or Ultrasound Technology certification at an accredited institution
  • Valid ARDMS, ARRT, RDCS, or RVT registration as required by state law
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Skilled in ultrasound equipment operation and basic computer literacy
  • Detail-oriented with strong teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to complete 30 Continuing Education Units every three years

Essential Job Functions

  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Frequent movement or lifting of 50-100 pounds using proper body mechanics
  • Prolonged standing with frequent squatting, twisting, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments
  • Compliance with HIPAA to protect sensitive, proprietary, or confidential information
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for infection control

Work Environment

  • 24/7 operational needs may require availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste
  • Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud/unpleasant noise, unpleasant odors, and emotional/physical stress

Location

Franklin County is located in southeast Idaho, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, offering ample outdoor recreation. It is less than 30 minutes from Logan, Utah, and one hour from Pocatello, Idaho, providing diverse shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Hours: 40/week | Shift: Days with Weekend On-Call Rotation
