About the role
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensure image quality, and support patient care in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient information and prepare patients for procedures
- Operate ultrasound imaging equipment and ensure high-quality images
- Document procedures and adhere to safety protocols
- Support and train team members and students
- Educate patients about procedures and care
- Maintain certification and competency in specific ultrasound modalities
- Adapt to changing conditions, troubleshoot issues, and respond to emergencies
Requirements
- Registered with ARDMS in a relevant modality (excluding physics)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in ultrasound imaging, patient care, equipment operation, and documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience or cross-training in specialties
- Additional certifications such as IV
Physical and Other Requirements
- Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and physical stamina for patient handling and equipment operation
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients
- Capability to navigate busy environments and stand for extended periods
