Ultrasound Technician II

Schedule: Evenings; 6:00pm-2:30am Rotating holidays, weekends, and on-call required. Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The primary function for this position is to perform Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound procedures in accordance with established standards of the Radiology Department, and under the supervision of the Radiologist. Must be able to distinguish normal vs abnormal anatomical findings and demonstrate the ability to record the most appropriate images in order to render the correct interpretation. Medical Sonographer II are sonographers having 3 or more specialty certifications through ARDMS. Pediatric experience of at least 2 years is preferred but not required. Preferred Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1 year Ultrasound experience.Ability to perform diagnostic Medical Sonographic examinations Education/Licensure/Certification Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of UltrasoundARDMS or eligible for ARDMS license, CPR, certified in 3 or more specialties
