About the role

Staff Ultrasound Technologist must:

• Have an associate degree in sonography, from an institution accredited by The CAAHEP, that prepares students to sit for the certification exam.

Responsibilities

Duties:

• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Schedule outpatient procedures for Radiology
• Manage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members
• Take Call for emergency procedures after working hours

Requirements

Able to perform x-ray and Ct procedures

• Ultrasound technologist at SSCH needs to be:
• ARRT Registered
• A Mississippi license to practice radiography.
• A graduate with associate's or bachelor's degree in radiology from an accredited 2 year or 4 year college.

Qualifications

Ultrasound technologist must be a graduate with associate's or bachelor's degree in radiology from an accredited 2 year or 4 year college.
