Ultrasound Clinical Lead
Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Supervisor to join our team at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center. In this role, you will perform clinical ultrasound exams while providing vital leadership and administrative support to the department.
What you will do in this role
- Perform ultrasound exams on patients following all standard staff technologist requirements.
- Audit regulatory compliance, quality assurance issues, and operational functions within the Ultrasound department alongside the Director.
- Provide data for Performance Improvement (PI) plans and assist with staff meetings.
- Aid in managing staff concerns, including performance issues, staffing needs, and clinical activities.
- Continually assess the professional performance of the staff in collaboration with leadership and radiologists.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to Ultrasound.
- Create and maintain staffing schedules, manage PTO requests, and adjust staff productivity hours based on patient volumes.
- Promote teamwork and leadership within the department and hospital, facilitating clear communication between staff and physicians.
- Follow all facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling potential exposure to hazardous or antineoplastic medications.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree, Certificate, or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Current registration with ARRT (ARRT-R Radiography) or ARDMS (RDMS, RDMS-AB Abdomen Specialty, RDMS-OB/GYN Obstetrics and Gynecology, or RVT Registered Vascular Technician).
- Prior supervisor or management experience.
- Current BLS upon hire, or Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
