Ultrasonography Technologist Obstetrics

Job Summary

To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing Ultrasound.

About the Role

This position is located at Golisano Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY. It is a full-time position with scheduled work hours ranging from 7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p, 8a-4p, 8:30a-4:30p, 9a-5p, and 9a-5p with a shift 1 schedule. The position does not require weekend/holiday work or on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing Ultrasound.
• Certified as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 3 years required.
• Certified in nuchal translucency from the Fetal Medicine Foundation within 18 months of hire or transfer and maintain thereafter.
• Certified in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) for OB/GYN within 18 months of hire or transfer and maintain thereafter.
• Experience in Obstetrics Ultrasound preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting, vascular experience in upper and lower extremities preferred.
• Experience in Ultrasonography Technology or clinical rotation in hospital setting preferred.

Requirements

• Education and Credentials: Degree or certificate in Diagnostic Ultrasound from a certified Ultrasound Program required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days. Certified as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 3 years required. Certified in nuchal translucency from the Fetal Medicine Foundation within 18 months of hire or transfer and maintain thereafter. Certified in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) for OB/GYN within 18 months of hire or transfer and maintain thereafter.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in Obstetrics Ultrasound preferred. 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, vascular experience in upper and lower extremities preferred. 1 year of Ultrasonography Technology or clinical rotation in hospital setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Must become credentialed as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 3 years of hire/transfer and sit for first exam within 18 months of hire/transfer and successfully pass within 3 years of hire/transfer.
• Certification must be current and maintained for employees hired/transferred effective 10/30/01.
• Credentialed as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) upon hire preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $42.81 - $54.26 per hour, with the actual salary determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Schedule

The position is a full-time role with standard hours of 7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p, 8a-4p, 8:30a-4:30p, 9a-5p, and 9a-5p with a shift 1 schedule. There are no weekend/holiday requirements or on-call duties.
