About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care to support accurate diagnoses and clinical decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Position and instruct patients to obtain optimal images while ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
  • Correlate clinical history with ordered procedures to ensure proper exam selection.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and minimize anxiety through clear communication.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across all age populations.
  • Adhere to safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain compliance with accrediting organizations (Joint Commission, CMS, ACR, etc.).
  • Document procedures and maintain PACS and electronic records accurately.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other team members.
  • Assist with training of ultrasound students as appropriate.
  • Maintain certifications, continuing education, and required licensure.
  • Participate in department meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program (required).
  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification (required).
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of ultrasonography experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Must be proficient in abdominal, ob/gyn, small parts, & breast.
  • Experience in interventional radiology to include paracentesis and thoracentesis preferred.
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
