Ultrasonographer - OBGYN Coral 230 *New Clinic* (.9 FTE, Days)

About the Role

Performs both obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations including the biometry and anatomy survey. Works collaboratively and under the direction of Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologists and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations of patients.
• Assists with ultrasound-guidance during in-office procedures as needed and requested by providers. Procedures may include but are not limited to: Sonohysterograms, Essure, Novasure, and IUD placements.
• Promotes good public relations between patients, family members, clinic, hospital, and community by fostering a friendly, positive, encouraging, and sympathetic atmosphere.
• Communicates to patient constantly, in lay language, on the status of the examination/procedure, always maintaining patient's confidence.
• May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a two-year certified sonographer course.
• ARDMS-certified in obstetrics and gynecology within two years of hire.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

Qualifications

• ARDMS-certified in obstetrics and gynecology (desired).
• 1 year of experience in an ultrasound setting (desired).
• 6 months experience in OB and GYN ultrasound (desired).
• 1st Trimester Nuchal Translucency Certified (desired).

$48.66 - $77.84 per hour.
