UICC Named the 2024 YY Study Grant Recipients for Cancer Research

The Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International Cancer (YY) Study Grants, supported by UICC-Japan since 1972, provide established cancer researchers with the opportunity to advance their work through three-month international visits to leading research institutions.

Recipients

• Naila Malkani: Assistant Professor at GC University Lahore, Pakistan. Holds a Ph.D. in Vascular Biology from the Medical University of Vienna, Austria.
• Maria Cecilia Rodriguez Galán: Senior Researcher at CONICET Centre for Research in Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology (CIBICI) Cordoba, Argentina.
• Deeksha Pal: Associate Professor at Maharishi Markandeshwar University Ambala, Haryana.
• Afees John Olanrewaju: Faculty lecturer at Babcock University, Nigeria. Holds a PhD in Anatomy from the University of Ilorin and a Master’s degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy.
