UI/UX developer - Python/Django

About the role

The UI/UX developer will work as part of the development team to develop and implement new Python and Django UI components and user facing applications defined by the design team into the development, testing, and production environments for the product.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with USWDS styling guidelines and leverage best practices to implement styling into the web UI applications
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate user facing applications into the existing backend components and API's
• Produce CSS supplements to augment existing templates and USWDS CSS templates
• Produce documentation detailing the applications user workflow

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
• Experience developing UI / UX applications in a Python / Django framework
• Software development experience in a Linux environment
• Experience developing user facing web applications
• Experience in the Agile Scrum development process

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• NCBI web/application architecture patterns
