About the role
Konami Gaming is seeking a UI-UX Design Engineer III to join our team. This position involves software development, implementation, and project management, with responsibilities including code development, system enhancements, and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Software Development & Implementation (70%): Code freezes during major and minor product releases, maintain code quality through QA testing, and participate in code reviews.
- QA / Customer Support - Knowledge transfer sessions (2 to 4 sessions annually).
- Research, design, and develop system software in conjunction with the SYNKROS Casino Management System and related product development.
- Write, test, debug, and maintain source code; assist in code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
- Project Management (15%): Manage project timelines, coordinate testing scripts, and prepare reports.
- Systems Knowledge (10%): Complete initial orientation and training portfolio, research and submit innovative ideas for patent consideration, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT systems and technologies.
- Customer Relationship Management (5%): Attend customer visits, gather feedback, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Civil Engineering (BSCE) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years or more experience as a website software designer with HTML/CSS front-end coding.
- Three or more years' experience in graphical user interface (GUI) design development.
- High degree of knowledge and understanding of software design systems.
- Casino Gaming or Lottery System experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience as a website software designer with HTML/CSS front-end coding.
- Experience in graphical user interface (GUI) design development.

- Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming licenses.
- Knowledge of computer systems, front-end development including HTML/CSS and UI design.
- Experience with graphical user interface programming.
- Casino Gaming, Lottery Systems, or RDBMS experience a plus.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, and geometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment.
- Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain excellent communication and a positive, respectful, and professional attitude and relationship with clients, employees, peers, co-workers, all levels of management, and external organizations.
- Ability to work in a smoke-free office environment with limited working space for long hours.
