Responsibilities
- Design and develop web applications with an emphasis on frontend.
- Estimate, plan, and implement software development work.
- Work closely with product managers to gather requirements for building new modules or improving existing ones.
- Evaluate, maintain, and improve the existing codebase to ensure proper structure and adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and research reported issues, providing recommendations by comparing advantages and disadvantages of various solutions.
- Stay updated on new technologies and tools, adopting relevant ones for the team.
- Participate in peer reviews and apply software engineering best practices.
- Be accountable for meeting assigned project objectives and timelines.
- Set engineering vision and direction for existing and future applications.
- Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of PMs, designers, and other developers.
Requirements
- Strong experience with frontend web technologies and frameworks: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
- Proficiency with consuming REST APIs and handling all HTTP responses.
- Experience with backend web services frameworks: Node.js.
- Some experience with relational databases: SQL.
- Strong experience with Git, bug tracking, and collaborating with a software team.
- Basic understanding of containerization and DevOps processes (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD).
- Strong debugging and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Self-directed, analytical, and collaborative with a constant desire to learn and improve.
Pay
$100,000–$115,000 per annum. Compensation decisions are based on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.
Schedule
This is an on-site position located in Austin, TX, USA. You must be able to commute to the location with your own transportation to meet required working hours. The role may involve extensive walking and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
